I am a theoretical physicist employing differential geometry, topology, and continuum field theories to study biological and bio-inspired physical systems. Currently, my research focuses on the emergence and functionality of order in living matter, as well as shape and pattern formation during their development.
Additionally, I work on generalizing theorems in General Relativity—such as the Penrose–Hawking singularity theorems—to semiclassical and quantum gravity. This includes constraining exotic spacetimes (e.g., bouncing cosmologies and traversable wormholes) by imposing basic physical requirements on matter, such as energy conditions.
Below are some numerical simulations of my past and ongoing work.
